# Astigmatism

## Astigmatism

There has been quite a bit of talk about astigmatism lately. The issue most people are having is that they are focusing on the dot instead of the target and that causes the dot to appear fuzzy or distorted. Our optics are designed for use with both eyes open while maintaining target focus, essentially look through the dot and focus on the target. You can also lower the intensity setting. By lowering the amount of light your eye is taking in, the clarity of the dot will improve.
